Dishwasher displays C8; may indicate a problem with the detergent or rinse aid dispenser not operating correctly.

Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the inner door panel.

• Inspect the dispenser door: Open the dishwasher door and check that the detergent cup opens and closes smoothly by hand. Clean any caked detergent from the cup and surrounding area.
• Check for physical damage: Look for cracks or broken hinges on the dispenser assembly.
• Access the dispenser wiring: Remove the inner door panel screws to expose the back of the dispenser. Verify the wiring connector is firmly attached and not corroded.
• Test the solenoid: With power disconnected, use a multimeter to check resistance across the dispenser solenoid terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed solenoid.
• Run a test cycle: After cleaning and reconnecting, restore power and run a cycle to see if the dispenser opens at the correct time.

If the dispenser mechanism is damaged or the solenoid is open, replace the complete detergent/rinse aid dispenser assembly with a compatible Monogram part.
