Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before disconnecting hoses or accessing internal parts.
- Confirm water supply: Ensure the shutoff valve under the sink feeding the dishwasher is fully open. Check that other fixtures at the sink have normal water flow.
- Inspect inlet hose: Look for kinks or sharp bends in the hose from the valve to the dishwasher.
- Clean inlet screen: Turn off water, disconnect the hose at the dishwasher inlet valve, and clean the small screen inside the valve fitting.
- Test fill: Reconnect, restore water and power, and start a cycle. If you do not hear water entering within 30–60 seconds, the inlet valve may be defective.
If E1 persists after confirming supply and cleaning the screen, replace the water inlet valve with the correct Monogram part. If the valve does not receive voltage during fill, the control board or wiring may be at fault.
