Possible Causes
Stuck float in Monogram tub, Faulty float switch, Blocked pressure sensor tube (if equipped), Control misreading water level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing internal components.
- Locate and test float: Find the float assembly inside the tub (usually near the front corner). Move it up and down; it should move freely and click the switch.
- Clean around float: Remove any debris, scale, or detergent buildup that could prevent free movement.
- Access float switch: From beneath the dishwasher, locate the float switch and check its wiring. Test continuity while manually raising and lowering the float.
- Inspect pressure sensor (if present): Some models use a pressure sensor with a small hose. Ensure the hose is not kinked or clogged.
Replace a faulty float switch or sensor as needed. If E5 persists with good components, the control board may require replacement.
