Possible Causes
Closed or low-pressure water supply, Clogged inlet filter screen, Faulty water inlet valve, Defective flow meter or pressure sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from mains power and close the water supply tap before working on it.
- Check water supply: Ensure the kitchen water shutoff valve feeding the dishwasher is fully open. Verify there is normal water pressure at the sink tap.
- Inspect inlet hose and filter: Pull the dishwasher out slightly, close the water tap, and disconnect the inlet hose from the tap. Remove and clean the small mesh filter in the hose end and at the water inlet valve on the dishwasher. Rinse under running water and reinstall.
- Straighten hose: Make sure the inlet hose is not kinked, crushed, or sharply bent behind the machine.
- Test a new cycle: Restore water and power, then start a quick program and listen for water entering. If E1 reappears, the inlet valve or flow meter may be faulty.
- Advanced check (for experienced users): With power disconnected, access the bottom front panel, locate the water inlet valve assembly, and check its coil resistance with a multimeter. If open-circuit or far from specification, replace the valve.
