Possible Causes
Faulty regeneration valve, Blocked softener resin tank, No dishwasher salt in softener, Wiring fault to softener valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before inspecting internal components.
- Check salt level: Open the salt reservoir cap (usually in the bottom of the tub) and ensure it is filled with proper dishwasher salt. Top up if low and wipe away any spilled salt from the tub.
- Run a regeneration cycle: If your Mora model allows, run a program that includes softener regeneration to flush the system.
- Inspect regeneration valve: Access the side of the dishwasher to locate the softener/regeneration valve attached to the water softener tank. Check for loose wiring or visible damage.
- Listen for valve operation: During the early part of a cycle, listen for a clicking sound from the valve. No sound may indicate a failed coil.
- Advanced check: With power disconnected, measure the coil resistance of the regeneration valve. Replace the valve if open-circuit or out of specification.
