Possible Causes
Leak from sump gasket, Leak from circulation pump seal, Cracked hose or clamp failure, Overfoaming causing water in base tray
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap. Be prepared for water to spill when tilting the appliance.
- Check for foam: If you recently used hand dishwashing liquid or too much detergent, foam may have overflowed into the base. Allow foam to dissipate and run a rinse cycle after resolving the cause.
- Drain the base tray: Carefully pull the dishwasher out and tilt it slightly backward or to one side to allow water in the base tray to drain onto towels. Do not tilt excessively to avoid water entering electrical parts.
- Inspect for leaks: Remove the bottom panel and inspect around the sump, pumps, hoses, and side chambers for fresh water trails or limescale marks indicating a leak source.
- Tighten or replace components: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, or renew the sump or pump seals as needed.
- Test operation: After drying the base completely and fixing leaks, restore power and run a short cycle to confirm that E15 does not return.
