Possible Causes
Defective water inlet valve, Debris preventing valve from closing, Control board not de-energizing valve, Wiring short to valve coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap if water is continuously entering.
- Inspect inlet valve: Remove the lower front panel and locate the water inlet valve. Check for visible damage or signs of overheating.
- Check for debris: Disconnect the inlet hose and inspect the valve inlet for grit or scale that could prevent proper closing. Clean carefully.
- Test valve operation: With the dishwasher unplugged, the valve should be closed and no water should pass when the tap is opened. If water still flows, the valve is mechanically stuck and must be replaced.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure there are no damaged wires shorting the valve coil to live.
- Replace valve: Install a new inlet valve compatible with your Mora model and test for normal filling behavior.
