How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap.
- Clean filters and sump: Remove the bottom filters and check for debris that could reach the drain pump.
- Access drain pump: Lay the dishwasher on its back, remove the bottom panel, and locate the drain pump at the sump outlet.
- Inspect impeller: Remove the pump (usually held by a twist lock or screws) and check for glass, bones, or other objects jamming the impeller. Remove any obstructions.
- Check rotation: Spin the impeller by hand. If it does not move freely or feels rough, replace the pump.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the pump, reconnect hoses, and run a drain cycle to verify that E21 is cleared.
