Possible Causes
Defective NTC sensor on heater, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring between NTC and control, Corroded contacts at NTC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing the base.
E11 is another temperature sensor-related error, often specific to the heater NTC.
- Locate NTC: Access the base and locate the NTC sensor on or near the circulation pump/heater assembly.
- Inspect connector: Disconnect and inspect the NTC plug for corrosion or moisture. Clean and dry if necessary, then reconnect firmly.
- Measure resistance: With the NTC disconnected, measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare with service data; a reading of open circuit or near zero indicates failure.
- Check harness: Follow the NTC wires to the control module, checking for damage or pinched sections.
- Replace NTC or assembly: If the NTC is faulty and removable, replace the Neff NTC sensor. If it is integrated and non-removable, replace the circulation pump/heater assembly.
