Possible Causes

Defective flow meter in water matrix, Blocked flow meter wheel due to debris, Loose or corroded flow meter connector, Wiring fault between flow meter and control

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and close the water tap.

E14 indicates the control cannot correctly measure the incoming water volume.

  • Check inlet filters: Clean the filter at the Aquastop or hose end to ensure good flow.
  • Access flow meter: Remove the left side panel to access the water matrix / heat exchanger. The flow meter is usually a small sensor clipped into the matrix with two wires.
  • Inspect and clean: Remove the flow meter and check that the internal wheel or paddle spins freely. Rinse under water to remove debris.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the flow meter to the control module for damage or loose connectors.
  • Replace flow meter: If the wheel is stuck, damaged, or the sensor is electrically open, replace the Neff flow meter sensor.

Reassemble and run a fill test. The dishwasher should now fill and proceed without E14.
