Possible Causes
Inlet water pressure too high, Faulty flow meter reading too low, Sticking inlet valve, Incorrect installation of drain hose causing backflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water and power before adjustments.
E17 is related to abnormal water intake, often too fast.
- Check water pressure: If your supply pressure is very high, fit a pressure reducer on the dishwasher feed line as per Neff specifications.
- Inspect flow meter: Access the flow meter in the water matrix and ensure it spins freely and is not bypassed by debris.
- Check inlet valve: Verify that the Aquastop valve closes promptly when power is removed. Replace if it is slow or sticking.
- Drain hose installation: Ensure the drain hose is not installed in a way that allows siphoning or backflow, which can confuse level detection.
After corrections, clear the error by disconnecting power briefly and run a test cycle.
