Possible Causes
Blocked drain hose, Blocked sink trap spigot, Incorrect drain hose installation height, Kinked drain hose behind dishwasher
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power. Expect water when disconnecting the drain hose.
E24 is usually due to an external drain blockage or installation issue.
- Check sink trap: If the dishwasher drain hose connects to a sink trap spigot, remove the hose and inspect the spigot for blockage. Clean thoroughly.
- Inspect drain hose: Check the entire length of the drain hose for kinks, crushing, or clogs. Flush it with water or compressed air.
- Verify installation height: Ensure the drain hose loops up to the recommended height (usually under the worktop) to prevent backflow.
- Internal checks: Remove filters and inspect the sump and drain pump inlet for debris.
- Test drain: After clearing, run a drain or cancel program to verify that water is pumped out quickly.
