Possible Causes

Incorrect drain hose installation, Faulty non-return valve, Inlet valve not sealing fully

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and water before working on hoses or valves.

  • Check drain hose loop: Ensure the drain hose forms a high loop under the worktop to prevent sink water from flowing back.
  • Inspect non-return valve: Access the sump or drain pump outlet and check the non-return valve flap for debris or damage. Clean or replace if it does not close properly.
  • Check inlet valve: If clean water slowly appears in the tub, the Aquastop inlet valve may be weeping. Replace the Aquastop hose assembly.
