Possible Causes

Failed drying fan motor, Blocked vent duct, Faulty fan triac on control board, Loose fan wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the door or side panels.

  • Listen for fan: During the drying phase, you should hear a gentle fan noise. Silence combined with H27 suggests a fan issue.
  • Inspect vent: Check the door vent outlet for blockages such as detergent residue or plastic wrap. Clean with a damp cloth.
  • Access fan assembly: Remove the inner door panel or side panel (depending on model) to locate the drying fan. Check that the fan blades spin freely and that the motor connector is secure.
  • Test fan motor: With a multimeter, check the fan motor for continuity. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.

If the fan motor is defective, replace the Panasonic drying fan assembly. If the fan tests good, the control board’s fan driver may be faulty.
