Possible Causes
Water inlet valve not closing fully, Debris in valve seat, Control board not de-energizing valve, Faulty pressure switch not detecting level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap. Overfilling can cause flooding.
- Observe behavior: If water continues to enter the tub even when the machine is off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Check for debris: Remove the inlet hose and inspect the valve inlet for grit or scale. Flushing may temporarily help but replacement is recommended.
- Verify pressure system: If overfilling occurs only during operation, the pressure switch or hose may be blocked and not signaling the correct level.
- Replace faulty components: Install a new Rosières inlet valve and/or repair the pressure system as needed. Test carefully for correct fill level.
