Possible Causes
Open-circuit heating element, Faulty NTC temperature sensor, Burnt wiring or connector on heater, Defective electronic control board (PCB)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power and allow the dishwasher to cool completely before inspection.
- Confirm symptom: Run a hot program and open the door immediately after stopping (carefully). If the interior and dishes are cold and E3 is displayed, the heater is not operating.
- Check wiring at base: Remove the toe-kick panel and side panels (if accessible) to inspect the wiring harness to the flow-through heater or integrated base heater. Look for burnt connectors or loose plugs.
- Visual inspection of heater: On many Rosières models, the heater is integrated in the circulation pump housing. Check for signs of leakage or corrosion around the heater body.
- Basic continuity test (for qualified persons): Using a multimeter, test the heater terminals for continuity. An open circuit indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- If heater and wiring are OK: The NTC sensor or main control board may be defective. These components should be diagnosed and replaced by a professional technician.
