Possible Causes
Faulty turbidity sensor in sump, Dirty or scaled sensor window, Defective flow meter, Wiring harness fault to sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before accessing the sump or base components.
- Clean sump area: Remove filters and thoroughly clean the sump where the turbidity or optical sensor is located. Grease and food residue can interfere with readings.
- Inspect sensor body: From inside the tub, locate the small plastic window or sensor housing and gently clean it with a soft brush and warm soapy water.
- Check wiring: Access the underside of the sump and verify that the sensor connector is firmly seated and that no wires are damaged or corroded.
- Run a test cycle: Reassemble and run a short program. If E6 reappears, the sensor or flow meter is likely defective.
- Replace sensor if needed: Order the correct Rosières turbidity/flow sensor and install according to service instructions or have a technician perform the replacement.
