How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use gloves when cleaning dirty filters and seals.
- Deep clean filters and sump: Remove all filters and scrub with hot soapy water. Clean the sump area thoroughly.
- Clean door gasket: Wipe the door seal and the area around it with a cloth soaked in hot water and mild detergent. Remove any trapped food.
- Check drain hose routing: Ensure the hose rises in a high loop under the counter to prevent backflow from the sink.
- Run cleaning cycle: Use a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar on the top rack and run the hottest program.
- Regular maintenance: Run a hot intensive cycle at least once a week to reduce odor build-up.
