Possible Causes
Stuck heater relay on PCB, Faulty thermistor reading low resistance, Water heater set too high, Poor circulation causing localized overheating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the dishwasher to cool before working on it.
- Check inlet water temperature: Ensure household hot water is not excessively high. Adjust water heater if needed.
- Inspect circulation: Make sure the filter and spray arms are clean so water circulates properly over the heater.
- Test thermistor: Access the sump and measure thermistor resistance at room temperature and compare to Samsung specs. Replace if out of range.
- Control board evaluation: If the heater is staying on too long, the main PCB heater relay may be stuck closed and the board will need replacement.
