Safety first: Turn off power before removing any panels.

• Check door closure: Ensure the dishwasher is level and not twisted in the cabinet. Press firmly on the door to see if the display changes.
• Inspect latch strike: Check the metal or plastic strike on the tub frame. If bent or loose, adjust or tighten it so the door latch engages fully.
• Access door lock: Remove the inner door panel screws to expose the Sharp door lock assembly. Inspect for broken plastic parts or a loose microswitch.
• Test switch: Manually operate the latch and listen for a clear click from the microswitch. If absent, the lock assembly likely needs replacement.
• Replace door lock: Install a new door lock/switch assembly and reassemble the door. Verify that the door closes smoothly and the error is cleared.
