• Locate regeneration valve: On Sharp models with integrated water softener, the regeneration valve is usually mounted near the side salt tank or softener unit.
• Check wiring: Inspect the connector and wiring harness to the valve for damage or loose connections.
• Listen for operation: During the early part of the cycle, listen for a click from the valve. No sound may indicate a failed coil.
• Replace valve: If the coil is open-circuit or the valve is stuck, replace it with a Sharp-compatible regeneration valve.
