Possible Causes
Worn or damaged door gasket, Blocked lower spray arm causing water to hit door, Overfilling due to inlet fault, Warped door or misaligned hinges
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply before inspecting for leaks.
- Step 1 – Inspect door gasket:
- Open the door and examine the rubber gasket around the tub opening.
- Look for tears, flattening, or gaps, especially at the bottom corners.
- Step 2 – Clean gasket and door:
- Wipe the gasket and mating surfaces with warm soapy water to remove grease and debris.
- Step 3 – Spray arm check:
- Ensure the lower spray arm is not cracked or partially detached, which can direct water at the door.
- Step 4 – Level and alignment:
- Verify the dishwasher is level front-to-back and side-to-side.
- Adjust feet if necessary so the door closes evenly.
- Step 5 – Replace gasket:
- If the gasket is damaged or compressed, pull it out of the channel and install a new Siemens door gasket, pressing it fully into place.
After repair, run a short cycle and monitor the door area for leaks.
