Dishwasher will not start; door appears closed but E06 is displayed.

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the door panel.

E06 indicates the control does not detect the door as properly closed.

• Step 1 – Check door closure:
  • Ensure the dishwasher is level and not twisted in the cabinet.
  • Close the door firmly and check for any resistance or misalignment with adjacent cabinets.
• Step 2 – Inspect latch and strike:
  • Open the door and inspect the metal latch hook on the tub frame.
  • Check for bending, looseness, or damage.
  • Tighten mounting screws if loose.
• Step 3 – Access door lock:
  • Remove the inner door panel screws and carefully separate the inner and outer door.
  • Locate the door lock/switch assembly at the top center.
  • Inspect for cracks, burnt contacts, or broken plastic.
• Step 4 – Wiring check:
  • Verify the wiring harness to the door lock is intact and not pinched.
  • Reseat the connector on the lock and on the control board.
• Step 5 – Replacement:
  • If the lock mechanism feels loose or does not click positively when actuated by hand, replace the door lock assembly.
  • Reassemble the door and test operation.

Do not bypass the door lock for safety reasons; always repair or replace it properly.
