• Step 1 – Confirm symptom:

• Step 2 – Access heater/heat pump:
  • Remove the dishwasher from the cabinet and lay it on its back (protect the floor).
  • Remove the bottom base cover to access the circulation pump/heat pump assembly.
• Step 3 – Visual inspection:
  • Check the heater terminals and wiring for burning or loose connections.
  • Inspect for leaks around the pump that may have damaged the heater.
• Step 4 – Resistance test (for trained users):
  • Disconnect the heater connectors.
  • Measure resistance across the heater; a typical value is 15–30 Ω (check service data).
  • If open circuit, the heater is defective.
• Step 5 – Replacement:
  • On many Siemens models, the heater is integrated with the circulation pump (heat pump).
  • Replace the complete heat pump assembly with the correct Siemens part.
  • Ensure all hose clamps and seals are correctly fitted to prevent leaks.
