Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap.
E14 indicates the control is not receiving correct pulses from the flow meter during filling.
- Step 1 – Access flow meter:
- Remove the left side panel to access the water matrix/heat exchanger.
- Locate the flow meter (small sensor with wires attached to the matrix).
- Step 2 – Visual inspection:
- Check the flow meter connector and wiring for damage.
- Remove the flow meter if possible and inspect the internal wheel for free movement.
- Step 3 – Cleaning:
- Rinse the water matrix and flow meter area with warm water to remove debris.
- Step 4 – Replacement:
- If the wheel is stuck or the reed switch is defective, replace the flow meter with the correct Siemens part.
After replacement, run a test cycle to confirm that filling proceeds normally and E14 does not reappear.
