Possible Causes

Household water pressure too high, Faulty flow meter reading excessive flow, Sticking inlet valve, Incorrect installation of inlet hose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before adjustments.

E17 is related to overfilling or too rapid filling.

  • Step 1 – Check water pressure:
    • If you have very high mains pressure, consider installing a pressure reducer on the supply line.
  • Step 2 – Inlet hose and valve:
    • Inspect the AquaStop hose and valve for sticking or debris.
    • Clean the inlet filter screen.
  • Step 3 – Flow meter:
    • As with E14, inspect and, if necessary, replace the flow meter if it is miscounting pulses.
  • Step 4 – Test:
    • After any changes, run a test cycle and monitor filling behavior.

If E17 persists despite normal water pressure and a clean inlet system, the control board may be misinterpreting flow data and require replacement.
