E22 is usually a user-serviceable issue related to dirty filters or sump blockage.

• Step 1 – Remove and clean filters:
  • Twist and lift out the cylindrical fine filter and coarse filter.
  • Wash thoroughly under hot running water with a brush.
• Step 2 – Clean sump area:
  • Remove the metal or plastic cover over the sump (if present).
  • Use a sponge or cloth to remove grease and debris.
  • Check for labels, bones, or glass pieces.
• Step 3 – Check drain cover:
  • Ensure the small cover over the drain pump inlet is properly seated and not blocked.
• Step 4 – Run a rinse cycle:
  • Reinstall filters correctly.
  • Run a short rinse program to confirm that E22 is cleared.

Regular filter cleaning (at least once a month) prevents E22 and improves wash performance.
