Possible Causes
Debris in circulation or drain pump, Worn pump bearings, Loose mounting brackets or leveling feet, Spray arm hitting dishes or rack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before inspecting moving parts.
- Check for contact: Ensure dishes are not protruding into the path of the spray arms. Spin arms by hand to confirm free movement.
- Inspect pumps for debris: Remove filters and inspect the sump for foreign objects. Access the drain pump and circulation pump from below and check impellers for glass, bones, or other debris.
- Level and secure unit: Verify the dishwasher is level front-to-back and side-to-side using the adjustable leveling feet. Tighten side or top mounting brackets to the cabinet to prevent vibration.
- Replace noisy pump: If noise persists and originates from the pump, replace the affected pump motor assembly.
