Possible Causes
Worn or damaged door gasket, Clogged or misdirected lower spray arm, Overfilling due to inlet valve or sensor issue, Warped door or tub frame
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water. Mop up any standing water to prevent slipping.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and examine the tub door gasket around the perimeter for tears, flattening, or gaps. Replace if worn.
- Check bottom door seal: Inspect the bottom door seal (if separate) for damage or misalignment and replace if necessary.
- Clean lower spray arm: Remove the lower spray arm and clean all jets. A blocked jet can cause water to spray directly at the door seam.
- Verify fill level: Start a cycle and, after filling, open the door to check water level. If excessively high, troubleshoot the water inlet valve and water level sensor as described in fill-related faults.
