Possible Causes
Defective flow meter, Incorrect installation height of drain hose causing siphoning, Air in water line affecting flow readings, Faulty main control board calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and water before adjustments.
- Verify drain hose installation: Ensure the drain hose is installed with a proper high loop or air gap as specified by Summit. A hose that is too low can cause siphoning and confuse water level detection.
- Bleed air from line: Turn off water, disconnect the inlet hose, then reconnect and slowly open the valve to reduce trapped air.
- Check flow meter: Inspect and test the flow meter for proper operation. Replace if readings are inconsistent.
- Control reset: Perform a hard reset by turning off the breaker for several minutes. If E14 persists, the main control board may require replacement.
