Possible Causes
Shorted circulation pump motor, Shorted drain pump motor, Damaged wiring harness, Faulty main control board triac or relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Do not reset repeatedly if the breaker trips.
- Visual inspection: Remove the lower panel and inspect the circulation pump and drain pump for signs of burning or melted plastic.
- Test motors: Disconnect each motor and test for continuity and insulation resistance to ground. Replace any motor that is shorted or has extremely low resistance.
- Check wiring harness: Inspect the harness for pinched, cut, or melted wires, especially where it passes through metal openings.
- Control board: If motors and wiring are good, the main control board may have a shorted triac or relay. Replace the board if visual damage or abnormal readings are found.
