How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water supply before servicing.
- Locate the flow meter: On many Summit dishwashers, the flow meter is integrated into the side water channel or inlet assembly. Remove the side panel to access it.
- Inspect for debris: Disconnect the hoses to the flow meter and check the small turbine wheel inside. Clean out any scale or debris that may prevent it from spinning freely.
- Check wiring: Ensure the flow meter's electrical connector is fully seated and the wires are not pinched or broken.
- Test sensor: Using a multimeter, check the flow meter for proper resistance or pulse output while gently blowing water or air through (refer to service specs if available). Replace the flow meter assembly if it is open or non-responsive.
- Control board: If the flow meter is good, the main control module may be faulty. Inspect for corrosion or burnt components and replace if necessary.
