How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before working on hinges or springs.
- Pull out appliance: Remove the decorative panel if fitted and slide the dishwasher out from the cabinet.
- Inspect springs and cables: On each side, check the door springs and tension cables (or cords). Replace any that are broken or stretched.
- Adjust tension: If adjustable, set the spring tension so the door can stay open at about 45° without falling or rising.
- Replace hinges: If hinges are bent or worn, replace the door hinge set.
