Possible Causes

Stuck or blocked pressure switch, Blocked air trap or pressure hose, Inlet valve not closing fully, Faulty main control board water level logic

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water supply tap. Be prepared for water spillage when opening the base.

  • Reset water level: If there is visible excess water, manually remove it with a sponge or small container until the sump is at normal level.
  • Clean filters and sump: Remove and clean the filters and check for debris around the pressure chamber opening in the sump.
  • Inspect pressure hose and air trap: Access the side of the tub (usually left side) to locate the pressure chamber and thin pressure hose going to the pressure switch. Remove the hose and blow through it to clear any blockage. Rinse the air trap with hot water to remove grease and detergent buildup.
  • Check pressure switch: With the hose removed, gently blow into the switch and listen for clicks. If it does not click or shows no change in continuity when tested with a multimeter, replace the pressure switch.
  • Inlet valve test: If the machine continues to fill even when off, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced immediately to prevent flooding.
