Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Corroded NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness between NTC and control board, Faulty main control board analog input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before accessing the sump or heater area.
- Locate NTC sensor: On many Teka dishwashers, the NTC is mounted in the sump base or on the flow-through heater body. It is a small probe with two wires.
- Inspect connector: Disconnect the NTC plug and check for corrosion or moisture. Dry and clean the contacts if necessary.
- Measure resistance: Using a multimeter, measure the NTC resistance at room temperature. Compare with Teka service specifications (commonly in the 10–50 kΩ range). A reading of 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a failed sensor.
- Check wiring: Follow the harness from the NTC to the control board in the door. Look for pinched or broken wires, especially where the harness passes through the door hinge area.
- Replace faulty parts: If the NTC is defective, replace the NTC temperature sensor. If wiring and sensor are good, the main control board may need replacement.
