Possible Causes
Partially blocked inlet valve or side water chamber, Clogged filters reducing circulation, Weak circulation pump, Incorrect installation of drain hose causing siphoning
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water supply tap.
- Clean filters and sump: Remove and thoroughly clean all filters. Check the sump inlet to the circulation pump for obstructions.
- Check water supply and inlet: Ensure the water tap is fully open and the inlet hose filters are clean. Inspect the side water distribution chamber for scale or debris and clean if necessary.
- Verify drain hose height: Ensure the drain hose is installed at the correct height (usually 40–100 cm above floor). If it is too low, water can siphon out during filling, causing low level and E8.
- Test circulation: Run a short program and listen for strong spray action. If the pump sounds weak or noisy and E8 persists, the circulation pump may need replacement.
