Possible Causes
Items touching spray arms, Loose cutlery or dishes vibrating, Foreign object in pump, Worn circulation pump bearings, Dishwasher not leveled
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Open the door carefully mid-cycle; hot steam may escape.
- Check loading: Ensure spray arms can rotate freely without hitting tall items. Rearrange dishes and cutlery to avoid contact.
- Secure loose items: Place small items in the cutlery basket or accessory racks. Avoid stacking dishes.
- Inspect for foreign objects: After stopping the machine, remove filters and check the sump for glass or other debris that could cause grinding.
- Level the appliance: Use a spirit level and adjust the feet so the dishwasher is stable and does not rock.
- Persistent mechanical noise: If noise continues and seems to come from the motor area, the circulation pump bearings may be worn and require replacement.
