How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before manipulating the door latch area.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and evenly. Remove any items or cutlery preventing the door from closing fully.
- Inspect latch strike: Check the metal strike on the cabinet that the door latch engages. If it is loose or bent, adjust and tighten the screws so the latch engages securely.
- Test door switch: With power on, gently close the door and listen for the click of the latch. If the display still shows E10 or does not respond, the door switch may not be recognized.
- Check for play in the handle: Excessive looseness in the handle or latch area can indicate a broken latch assembly.
- Repair: Replacing the door lock assembly or door switch requires opening the inner door panel. If you are not experienced, contact a V-ZUG technician.
