Possible Causes
Turbidity sensor window fouled by grease or limescale, Sensor defective, Wiring harness to sensor damaged, Control board sensor input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Run cleaning cycle: Use a dishwasher cleaner on a hot intensive program to remove grease and deposits that can cloud the turbidity sensor.
- Use correct detergent: Ensure you are using high-quality dishwasher detergent and rinse aid compatible with V-ZUG to minimize residue.
- Visual inspection: On many V-ZUG models, the turbidity sensor is mounted on the side of the sump or tub. If accessible, inspect for heavy buildup and gently clean the area around the sensor with a soft cloth (do not scratch the optical window).
- Reset and test: After cleaning, power the unit back on and run a normal cycle to see if E11 reappears.
- Persistent E11: The turbidity sensor or control board may need replacement. This is a technician-level repair.
