Possible Causes
Internal leak into base tray, Float switch stuck in raised position, Condensation or previous overflow not dried, Cracked hose or loose clamp
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close the water tap immediately.
- Access base tray: Remove the toe-kick panel. Use a flashlight to inspect the base tray for water.
- Dry the base: If water is present, carefully soak it up with towels or a sponge until completely dry. You may tilt the dishwasher slightly (with help) to drain trapped water, protecting the floor.
- Check float switch: Verify that the float (usually a small polystyrene or plastic piece) moves freely and is not stuck by dirt or grease.
- Test run: With the base dry, restore power and run a short program while observing for leaks.
- Persistent E15 or visible leak: Do not continue using the appliance. A hose, pump, or tub component is leaking and must be repaired or replaced by a technician.
