Possible Causes

Flow meter in water inlet system defective, Wiring harness to flow sensor damaged, Control module misreading flow pulses, Limescale buildup in water path restricting flow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker and close the water tap before inspection.

  • Check water pressure: Ensure household water pressure is adequate. Very low pressure can cause flow meter errors. Try another tap to compare flow.
  • Clean inlet filters: Remove and clean the inlet hose filters as described for E1 to ensure proper flow.
  • Run a descaling cycle: If you live in a hard water area, run an empty hot cycle with a dishwasher descaler suitable for V-ZUG appliances to reduce limescale in the water path.
  • Inspect wiring (visual only): Remove the toe-kick panel and visually inspect the wiring harness from the inlet assembly/side water matrix to the control board for obvious damage or loose connectors. Do not work on live circuits.
  • Persistent E2: The flow meter or water matrix assembly may need replacement. This is typically a technician-level repair; contact V-ZUG service.
