How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher. Water may be hot; wear gloves.
- Remove standing water: Open the door and remove as much water as possible with a cup and sponge.
- Access pump area: Remove the filters and look into the drain pump inlet. Use a torch to locate any foreign objects (glass, bones, labels) and carefully remove them.
- Check drain hose: Detach the hose from the sink siphon and flush it with water to ensure it is clear.
- Test run: Reassemble and run a drain or short program. Listen for normal pump operation.
- If E21 returns: The drain pump motor may be damaged and require replacement by a technician.
