Possible Causes
Defective drying fan motor, Blocked air duct, Faulty fan triac or relay on PCB, Loose wiring to drying assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher. Internal surfaces may be hot after a cycle.
Step-by-step checks:
- Listen for fan: During the drying phase, you should hear a small fan running on models equipped with active drying. If silent and E10 appears, suspect the fan circuit.
- Access fan assembly: The drying fan is usually located in the door or upper rear area. Remove the inner door panel or top cover as required.
- Inspect and clean: Check the fan blades and air ducts for lint, grease, or plastic film blocking airflow. Clean thoroughly.
- Test fan motor: Measure resistance of the fan motor windings. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also check for free rotation by hand.
- Check wiring and PCB: Inspect connectors from the fan to the main board. If the fan tests good but does not receive voltage during drying, the control board triac/relay may be faulty and the PCB will need replacement.
After repair, run a full cycle and confirm that drying performance improves and E10 is cleared.
