- Verify hose installation: Ensure the drain hose forms a high loop under the counter and is not inserted too far into the standpipe or sink trap, which can cause siphoning.
- Clean sink trap/air gap: Remove and clean the sink trap connection or air gap fitting to clear grease and food buildup.
- Flush drain hose: Detach the hose from the sink and machine, then flush it thoroughly with hot water.
- Test drain pump: If E20 persists, test the drain pump as in E2. Replace if intermittent or noisy.
Reinstall the hose correctly and run a rinse cycle to confirm reliable draining.
