Step-by-step checks:

• Clean filters and sump: Remove and clean all filters. Excess debris can affect water level sensing.
• Inspect pressure hose: Locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the sump or side chamber to the pressure switch. Remove it and check for blockages or splits. Replace if hardened or cracked.
• Clean pressure chamber: The side water chamber (if fitted) can clog with grease and limescale. Remove and flush it thoroughly with hot water and descaler.
• Test pressure switch: With the hose removed, gently blow into the switch and listen for clicks. Use a multimeter to verify contact change when pressure is applied. Replace the switch if it does not operate correctly.
• Flow meter: If your Vestel model uses a flow meter in the inlet assembly, inspect its wiring and connector. A failed flow meter can cause incorrect fill readings and E5.

Reassemble and run a test cycle to confirm that the water level is correct and the error is cleared.
