Possible Causes
Defective circulation pump motor, Blocked circulation pump impeller, Seized pump bearings, Wiring fault to circulation pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and water. Allow the machine to cool before working near the heater/pump assembly.
Step-by-step checks:
- Confirm lack of spray: Start a wash cycle, listen for the circulation pump. A low hum or silence with E7 indicates pump issues.
- Check for obstructions: Remove filters and inspect the sump inlet to the circulation pump. Remove any debris that could jam the impeller.
- Access circulation pump: Tilt the dishwasher and remove the bottom panel. Locate the main wash pump (larger motor attached to the sump or heater).
- Inspect and test: Check connectors and wiring for heat damage. Try rotating the impeller by hand; it should move smoothly. Measure motor winding resistance; an open circuit or very low resistance indicates a failed motor.
- Replacement: If the pump is seized or electrically faulty, replace the circulation pump assembly with a Vestel-compatible unit. Ensure all seals and clamps are correctly refitted to prevent leaks.
After replacement, run a test cycle and verify that spray arms rotate and E7 is cleared.
