Possible Causes
Leaking Viking circulation pump seal, Cracked sump assembly, Loose hose clamp on drain or fill hose, Inlet valve fitting leak
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water immediately. Use towels to contain water.
- Remove toe-kick: Inspect the base with a flashlight while running a short fill or wash (restore power briefly while observing, then disconnect again).
- Identify leak source: Look for drips from the pump, sump, hoses, or inlet valve. Trace water trails back to their origin.
- Tighten and reseal: Tighten hose clamps, reseat hoses, and replace any cracked hoses. If the pump seal or sump is leaking, replace the Viking pump or sump assembly.
- Dry base: Thoroughly dry the base pan and any insulation to prevent mold.
