Possible Causes
Water not heating properly, Faulty NTC sensor misreading temperature, Low incoming water temperature, Control board not receiving correct feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before testing heater circuits.
- Check incoming water temp: Run hot water at the sink until very hot before starting the dishwasher.
- Verify heating: During the wash phase, carefully open the door and check if the water is hot. If not, test the Viking heater and thermostat.
- Test NTC sensor: Measure resistance at room and warm temperatures and compare to specs. Replace if readings are incorrect.
- Control reset: Perform a hard reset by turning off the breaker for several minutes. If long cycles persist, the control board may need replacement.
