Possible Causes
Faulty Viking control panel (UI board), Moisture intrusion behind keypad, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main control, Main control board communication fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the door panel or control console.
- Power reset: Turn off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power. Sometimes a control lockup can be cleared with a hard reset.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the inner door panel to access the Viking UI board and keypad. Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or burned components.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat ribbon cable between the UI and main control is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
- Test buttons: With power off, gently press each button and feel for proper tactile response. Stuck or unresponsive buttons may indicate a failing keypad.
- Replace UI board if needed: If E11 persists and physical inspection shows damage or corrosion, replace the Viking control panel / UI assembly.
