Possible Causes

Shorted touchpad, Damaged user interface board, Loose or corroded ribbon cable between UI and main control

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before removing any panels.

  • Reset power: Turn off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power and test the keypad. If the code returns, continue.
  • Access the console: Open the dishwasher door and remove the screws along the inner door panel to separate the inner and outer door. Carefully lift off the console.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon cable from the user interface to the main control. Check for kinks, corrosion, or broken traces. Reseat both ends firmly.
  • Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water damage inside the console. Dry gently with a soft cloth and allow the console to air dry for several hours before reassembly.
  • Test buttons: With power restored (and panels safely in place), test each button. If some buttons do not respond or the error persists, the user interface assembly should be replaced.

Do not operate the dishwasher with the console open or wiring exposed.
